about ffynnon
Ffynnon PPD offers training, networking, awareness and support on the North Wales border.
We offer this to people engaged in the helping professions and to people interested in helping others and themselves.
We provide this at group, workshop and conference events.
The people who speak, train and facilitate these events are often highly acclaimed presenters and practitioners in their fields and have been invited by Ffynnon with this in mind.
Our aim is to provide an excellent service at the lowest possible price.
Ffynnon’s people are well known to be warm, friendly, skilled and professional perhaps this is why we have over 1500 people on our mailing list.
Ffynnon wants to contribute to the quality of the helping and care services in Wales, its border counties and beyond in the hope that this will increase the public’s confidence in the resources on offer.
We believe that by us caring for and investing in those who care, better services can be offered to the public in the hope that this in turn will bring health and well being to people and their communities.
Canon Professor Brian Thorne, Patron of Ffynnon: "Ffynnon PPD was founded in faith and in the belief that the need for personal and professional development opportunities has never been greater for those in the helping professions. Since its inception this faith has proved to be amply justified. More and more people are finding in Ffynnon and its stimulating programme a vital source of encouragement and new knowledge. For workers in North Wales this is especially important but it is clear that Ffynnon's influence is now reaching many other parts onited Kingdom." Brian Thorne: Lay Canon, Norwich Cathedral; Emeritus Professor of Counselling, University of East Anglia; Fellow, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; Co-founder and Professional Fellow, the Norwich Centre.
“Ffynnon is a very valuable resource in the delivery of continuing professional development training in North Wales. Their organisation is excellent, and there is a deep commitment to high quality training of professionals.” Mick Cooper DPhil CPsychol MBACP, Professor of Counselling School of Psychological Sciences and Health University of Strathclyde.
‘Ffynnon provides opportunities for those interested in human development, mental health and therapeutic relationships not only to access cutting edge thinking in relevant fields but also to experience connection and stimulating learning in a warm and welcoming environment. Working with Ffynnon as a presenter I was impressed by their level of care and thoughtfulness both leading up to and during the training day both towards myself and the participants.’ Suzanne Keys, Person Centred Practitioner & Trainer London.
