Welcome To Ffynnon PPD's Website

Ffynnon PPD (Personal and Professional Development) is an organisation that offers accessible personal and professional development to counsellors, therapists, pastoral workers and people in the care professions.

At present Ffynnon offers a day event programme of conferences, seminars and workshops on the North East border of Wales.

From Ffynnon’s ever developing foundation we have set up a regular member’s forum for people to meet up, network, discuss topics of concern and support each other.  Plans are underway for smaller groups from the member’s forum to meet on a more regular basis for a variety of relevant purposes, such as peer supervision, spirituality, person centred practise and more.

At Ffynnon we want to continue to offer and further develop our high quality, independent and thought provoking one day programme built firmly on the reputation of our previous events. We also want to achieve our goal of ensuring that all our services are not only accessible but also that the prices including concessions are truly affordable. With both of these aims in mind we are about to be registered as a charity.

Added to this we have future plans to create a residential centre in North Wales, an intimate setting for in-depth personal and professional development, retreat and respite.

In essence Ffynnon PPD wants to contribute to the quality of counselling and care resources in Wales, its border counties and beyond in the hope that this will increase the public’s confidence in and awareness of the resources on offer.  We believe that by investing in, and caring for those who care, a better service can be achieved, bringing health and well being to people and their communities.

The vision for Ffynnon PPD is underpinned by our understanding of and commitment to the ethos of the person centred approach and our own personal experience of, and belief in Christian spirituality.

Ffynnon seeks to draw people across the boundaries of beliefs and faiths, denominations and spiritual paths, in other words we welcome all people of goodwill.
