Since launching Ffynnon PPD’s programme of one day events in October 2008 we have successfully hosted conferences, seminars and workshops here on the North Wales border that have been presented by some of the highest acclaimed practitioners in their fields.

Brian Thorne and Dave Mearns pioneers of the person centred approach in Britain and prolific authors and co-authors of the best seller ‘Person Centred Counselling in action’ have both given inspirational seminars here. Their reputation as practitioners, teachers, trainers and writers is of the highest merit and regard in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.

Norma Howes, a child phorensic psychologist, private counselling practitioner and a well known and sought after trainer in the field of trauma, abuse and dissociation has presented a series of two conferences to date and will be a regular and popular speaker at Ffynnon events.

Mick Cooper is another well known Professor of counselling and counselling practitioner. He is head of counselling services at the University of Strathclyde and is also a renowned author. His workshop on Existentialism was an inspiration as he brought together the experience and knowledge of his work as an existential therapist and insightful person centred practitioner and trainer.

Brian Thorne described Suzanne Keys as ‘a brilliant star in the person centred firmament’ when asked to comment on Suzanne’s upcoming workshop ‘love in Therapy’. Suzanne has a wealth of experience, working and writing as a person-centred therapist, supervisor and group facilitator. On the day her passion for and expertise in the person centred approach was clearly evident and this was indeed a brilliant workshop that left many of the delegates asking for a follow up event to further explore the depths of this fascinating, challenging and life affirming subject.

All places are subject to availability and due to a limited number of spaces available we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

More events will be added as speakers are booked.

We are still negotiating a rich and challenging programme for 2010 with Brian Thorne and Dave Mearns still likely to present here sometime in the not too distant future.
